If you are a brand it is important to update your business/blog/hobby over the years as times change but it is important to choose colours that will represent you well and that are timeless instead of trendy.It leads to stronger brand recognition and that helps customers/readers/viewers easily identify your product or service. The colours you choose should be a direct reflection of who your business is.
Here are a few questions to ask yourself;
1. What product or service to you want your brand/business to be known for?
2. What emotions do you want your brand/business to evoke?
3. If you had to choose 3 words to descibe your brand/business what would they be?
“Choose colours that are timeless over trendy.”

It is important to choose colours that are relevant to what your brand stands for. Your colours should be a unique reflection of your product or service. Eg: maybe you are a wedding planner, it might be nice to have soft feminine colours as apposed to a party planner who may lean towards choosing bright eye catching colours.
Your brand colours should appeal to your audience but it is also important that they are colours you love and won't mind looking at for years to come as they are also a direct reflection of who you are.
