The Los Angeles Blogger sensation who is all around amazing, fashionable and inspiring:

Brittany Xavier

from Thrifts and Threads blog is absolutely killing the industry!

Blogging is only going to get bigger from here and we want YOU to have the front row seat in being a part of that. The beauty of fellow Blogger Lady Bosses are that they are all about helping others get to a place where they can own their own life from fashion to lifestyle and of course impacting media platforms the right way! It is such a powerful tool to not only constantly grow yourself, but helping the day – to – day girl feel like the gold she is!

We chatted with the blogging “it girl” and we hope that she inspires you just as much as she did for us here at Taylored Heart Blog.

Taylored Heart:  How did you first get into blogging?

Brittany: I started my blog after my wedding when I was inspired by so many wedding blogs. I realized I could definitely be a resource to readers that are looking for affordable options as well as investment pieces.

Taylored Heart: How do you manage time to run your blog efficiently?

Brittany: I have to plan ahead! A content calendar and completing my daily to-do list is a must.

Taylored Heart: How do you want to improve yourself in the next year?

Brittany: I want to stick to my workout routine even when I travel, I tend to skip exercise or eat less healthy when I’m on the go and want to get better at that overall!

Taylored Heart: Who has impacted you most in blogging and how?

Brittany: My husband, if it wasn’t for his consistent support in me pursuing the industry I’m not sure where I would be today!

Taylored Heart: Where would you like to be with Thrifts and Threads five years from now?

Brittany: A consistent space for inspiration and motivation for my readers. I also would also like to either co-design with a brand or release my own products of some sort- we’ll see!

Taylored Heart: Who do you think are the next up and coming fashion bloggers that we should look out for?

Brittany: I think that’s hard to tell, it’s for sure going to be the ones that stay consistent and don’t give up!

Taylored Heart: What do you think the future of blogging is?

Brittany: I think it’s going to be even stronger of a force than it is right now!

Taylored Heart: How would you describe your personal style and is there a person who is a fashion inspiration to you?

Brittany: My style is casual, versatile and always comfortable. I’m hugely inspired by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, I’ve been fans of them all growing up but even more so with their line The Row.

Taylored Heart: Why do you do what you do? ( what motivates you to keep going? )

Brittany: Being able to be my own boss and work alongside my husband at our own pace. He also works with me on the blog full-time so it’s been an incredible blessing for us both to be available for our daughter Jadyn as much as possible. We love making our own work hours.

Taylored Heart: You give such great advice about blogging and how to start a blog. ( we at Taylored Heart read your everyday xx ) Im am sure you also get many questions from other bloggers about blogging but what would you say is the best advice you have ever given to an aspiring blogger or online business woman.

Brittany: I would have to say, you have to be willing to work for it and stay consistent. It’s not going to be easy at first and you really have to put a lot of effort in to get things going, but try it out for a year and if you aren’t passionate about it, then you could decide what to do moving forward. Being self-motivated is key!

Taylored heart: In a world where insecurity, comparison and judgmental comments are made on social media etc… how do you tackle those issues? What would be your advice to the everyday girl who is battling with this type of thing?

Brittany: It can be difficult at times, but really don’t compare yourself to others… it’s a slippery slope. Focus on what’s working for you and the positives you have in your life. Rude comments on social media are going to happen, but it says more about the person saying them than it does about you. I believe the rudest comments come from the most insecure people, so it’s not something to take offense over. Just say focused on you! 🙂
